It was a key location for events in the series, named for the catchphrase "bada bing", a phrase popularized by James Caan's character Sonny Corleone in The Godfather. Being a topless go-go bar selling alcoholic drinks, Bada Bing represents a deviation from reality insofar as real-world New Jersey state law prohibits topless or nude dancing in establishments that sell alcohol. A marquee sign outside Satin Dolls, the Lodi strip club that served as the inspiration and shooting location for Bada Bing on the famous mob drama "The Sopranos," proclaims the bar is about to greet customers once again. Cardinalle was ordered to spend 30 days in jail and pay a fine and restitution. It still closely resembled the fictional Bada Bing from "The Sopranos," a nude bar that was the scene of many of the HBO show's most memorable moments. |
